the act of believing becomes scary.

the first was two youths discussing the good and bad of the girls in their class. after a few minutes of discussion, they concluded that the 'decent' ones are already taken, while the 'c-m-i's are, well, simply c-m-i. the second group was of 3 guys and 1 girl, who was teasing her companions abt introducing them to girls they fancied. and they went on to talk abt the popular and unpopular girls in their class.

it was yet another reminder that i got out of the teenager-youth-student phrase of life. a deja vu. similar to the feeling as i walked out of the cinema next to a bunch of noisy/rowdy uniformed students.

jessi, a good friend from malaysia who i met in university, said i have gotten used to leaving university and sheffield rather quickly. yes i agree. i have spent quite a fair bit of time exploring the city, and am glad to say that i, along with other ranmoorians, probably travelled to peak district more than most overseas students during their times there. people wise, well, distance makes the heart grow fonder, good friends need not necessarily to be physically near as much as emotionally supportive. friendship and relationship that you bother to make an effort to sustain and develop are those you treasure.

it has come to the public attention that ms ris low 'had been convicted of five charged of misappropriation, cheating using illegally obtained credit cards, and impersonating their users' identities' (source: wikipedia). some netizens call to strip her title. this development has become one of the most heated and vocal public reactions towards the contest and, perhaps, its management.
